The Simplex IncubATR™
for continuous spectroscopic monitoring of cells
2010 R&D Award winner
IncubATR with controller and heating / Transfer Optic Module
The IncubATR™ system is a combination of an ATR (Attenuated Total
Reflectance) spectroscopy cell and an incubator for the growth and maintenance
of live cells. This patent pending technology has been developed by the Pacific
Northwest National laboratory (PNNL) and exclusively licensed to Simplex
Scientific.
Power Point Presentation
This system is ideal for cell toxicology use where live cells can be continuously
monitored for changes following treatment using an FTIR spectrometer. One
specific area of investigation is in nanotechnology where the effects on living
cells of these nanomaterials is assessed in the new field of nanotoxicology.
